Today, your child will learn that Paul and Silas loved God and wanted to tell everyone about him. They even celebrated God by singing after they were thrown in jail. While they were singing, the jail started to shake, and the doors flew open! Wow! Paul and Silas trusted God, and we can trust God too.

Talk about it:

  1. What happened to Paul and Silas because they were telling people about God?
  2. What happened to the jail while Paul and Silas were singing?
  3. Who can you tell about how much God loves them?

Talk about it:

  1. Where can you talk to God?

Today, your preschooler will learn how God asked Samuel to find the new king. Wow! That’s an important job! God sent Samuel to Jesse’s house to meet his EIGHT sons. But God told Samuel that the youngest son, David, would be the next king because David loved God.

Talk about it:

  1. How many sons did Jesse have? (Count them together!)
  2. Why was David chosen to be the next king?
  3. What can you trust God to help you do?

Talk about it:

  1. What did Joshua and his army do to make the wall fall down?
  2. What things are hard for you to do?

We’ve been learning all month that we can trust God. Today, your child will learn about a time when God told Noah to build a HUGE boat! Noah put his family and two of every kind of animal on the boat. (That’s a lot of animals!) They were safe in the boat when God made it rain and rain. Noah trusted God even when he didn’t understand, and you can trust God too!

Talk about it:

  1. What did God put in the sky to remind us of his promise?
  2. What are some things you see outside that make you smile? (God made it all!)
  3. How can you trust God today?

This week, your child will learn that Gideon’s army had lots of soldiers, but God told him to send nearly all of them home! Gideon trusted God and did what he said to do, even if it meant fighting a battle with a very small army. God loved Gideon, and he loves us too.

Talk about it:

  1. What are some things that are hard for you to do?
  2. Who are the people who love you like God does?
  3. What are some things people who love you may ask you to do because they want what’s best for you (e.g. brush your teeth, eat your vegetables, clean up your toys)?
