Section Seven: Identity
We are new creations in Christ.
When you accepted Christ, he gave you a new identity. Your identity changed from being “in the flesh” to being “in Christ.” If you don’t know who you are in Christ, you will continually struggle to find your value and worth in relationships, material possessions, and other accomplishments. The purpose of Re:new is to make believers aware of their rich identity in Christ, so they can stop thinking and behaving based on their old ways of identifying themselves. Christians who understand their identity in Christ and live accordingly are attractive to others, drawing them to Christ.
