I'm a high school sports announcer, so when I went to learn about Waumba Land and they heard my voice, they thought I'd be a great fit for The Playhouse team. I’m so glad they did, because ever since then, I’ve been showing up every Sunday, ready to bring the Bible to life for the preschoolers.

When you choose to serve at Browns Bridge, you get to live out your faith and contribute to something bigger than yourselves. Watching our kids grow in their faith through teaching other kids about Jesus impacts our lives too—but THEY learned to serve because they watched us serve for over 15 years.

I was really hesitant to start leading in Transit. I am the CEO of a company with a very busy schedule, and I wasn’t sure I could commit to leading a small group. But despite my reservations, I decided to step up, and I’m so glad I did.

Even though I’m relatively new, it already feels like I’ve been part of the team for years! I’ve quickly formed strong bonds with my teammates, and I’m so grateful for the warm, welcoming environment here. One of my favorite things to do is make new families feel right at home as soon as they walk through the door.

Leading this small group has been a source of joy for us. Together, we have grown in our faith. We’ve built community and connections we never could have imagined.

Serving high school students in our community and being a resource for them through life's ups and downs is my “why.”
